Dear parents,
Childhood is an endearing phase of life for the child as well as for the family. As you all know Beaconhouse School System believes that parent, teacher and child all have a close relationship. This relationship requires cooperation and dedication. Together we can do wonders. We want to do everything; we can; to be, a valued and trusted partner in your child’s progress. So we are offering you our breadth of experience into this issue to guide. Let us work together to help make the children more successful.
Ø Being a parent you can encourage your child’s creativity:
by provide a stimulating environment that appeals to the child’s developmental age level, abilities and skills; by providing a variety of materials and reinforcement of the child’s process and development of the product.
Encourage your child:
· to try new methods to explore.
· to experiment the thing done in class.
· to relax and enjoy freedom of expression, as constant direction will hamper his/her confidence.
· respect your child’s effort to develop self-confidence.
·
to complete projects to understand his/her strengths and weaknesses
Being a parent you can encourage your child’s reading:
Encourage them to:
· takeout at least ten minutes everyday for reading aloud.
· buy colourful books if they are young.
· read an interesting story every night before going to bed. (A grandparent would be of great help).
· use the children’s newspaper to develop interest in reading newspapers.
· select poems ,stories ,puzzles or jokes to write reviews ,reports or class displays, after reading the articles.
Ø
Being a parent you can encourage your child to be organized:
Encourage them to:
· pack their bag before going to bed.
· go to bed not later than 9’oclock .
· keep their things and toys back on their places.

Encourage your child for being hygienic and healthy:
Encourage them to:
· keep their belongings neat and clean.
· to brush at least twice a day.
·
not to throw litter around.
· have a bath everyday.
· have healthy food
· have their hair check fortnightly.
Ø Being a parent you can encourage your child to develop their spellings:
Take the Hint of LaSaCaWaC(Look& Say& Cover& Write& Check)
This strategy will help your child to learn new words
Look: carefully at the word. Look for patterns, double letters and small words inside the word. Use a highlighter to show any tricky parts.
Say: the words slowly as you look at it. Think about the sounds the word makes.
Cover: the word.
Write: the word next to the original.
Check: you’re spelling. If the spelling is wrong go through the process
again.
We hope these tips will help ‘us’ to make our new generation more confident, creative, organize, hygienic and healthy.
Looking forward for a better
Yours sincerely,
Ghazala Aftab.
